The Faceless of Music - Stephen Crooks

I tried to remove physical attributes as a way of judging the subjects playing and personality in a time where who is playing the music is just as important as the music itself.

Here is my final project: https://vimeo.com/81812513

I sort of fixed the static, added color correction, tighter editing, a new intro sequence, text transitions, credits, and more b roll.

Thanksgiving - Middleton - Final

Thanksgiving Diary from Katie Middleton on Vimeo.

The final edition! I attempted color correction on the blown out shots, leveled out the sound throughout as best I could, trimmed it down by about 3 1/2 mins, added intro/credits, and incorporated music! Proud to end the class with a video of the most important people in my life! :D

Hey peeps.

So I think i need to edit the interviews bettter, in terms of how they line up with the view.
I am kinda scratching my head as to if the story flows together... I tried to make it flow but obviously i have a different perspective.

DiscoverYourself Draft from Kristina Josue on Vimeo.

**I plan to add background music and ending credits of course. Also I plan to add more interview answers as well as myself on camera talking about my experiences. I just wanted to post a video to give you an idea of my direction on this documentary.

Here's my link. I had originally posted it as a comment to Heidi's original post. I understand it's really in need of work. I've been sick so its been hard to get what I had originally wanted, but if you have any comments, they will be welcome.

Okay, here is my Vimeo link:

When It Became Apparent (Rough Cut) from Tyler Errigo on Vimeo.

It's still processing so if for some crazy reason someone is waiting to click my link immediately, reconsider how you're spending your time and wait a second lol

I posted all the changes that are going to be made in the Vimeo description. I'm aware of graphical errors and yes, I changed my whole idea because I simply couldn't do the other one properly at this point in the semester.

Best,

Thanksgiving - Middleton

Hey guys!

For my Thanksgiving film at this point all I have done is taken my favorite moments from what I shot and put them together. The footage is chronological in order. Obviously you will notice my film is 12 minutes long so I know I need to loose at least two minutes if not more. I am hoping you guys will let me know where the lulls are and what I could loose. Also do any of you have suggestions for a way I could work in some music maybe in the intro? Does it need music? Also let me know where you find yourself not understanding what people say. I plan to incorporate captions for those moments. I of course know what is being said so really need that feedback! Link below :) Also when compressing the video it got warped a bit. Apologies! Won't have that issue in the final.

Thanks so much!

Katie

Another thing I would love any advice on correcting some of my shots that are blown out a bit. In the compressed video I see now they are pretty bright.

Trull (rough cut)

Group Members
Ben Wescott, Nick Woehrle, and Katie Simmons

Plans
We are going to add a music credit at the end of the film; tweak the sound to get rid of some of the hiss from the Skype interview and any other places where it may be needed; and add some more interview narration during some reenactment footage like we did for the internal injuries part of the accident footage.

Final Assignments Posting Guidelines

Please post your rough cut films to the blog by Friday. If you post by Wednesday, you receive one point extra credit. Comment under your post about anything you plan to do with your film between rough and fine cut.

Put a comment to help each filmmaker under each post - this is part of your class participation grade and particularly important for those of you who are not as comfortable speaking up in class. Comments must be up by next Monday, so that filmmakers have a chance to integrate them into their films by December 13th. FINAL films are due by December 13th, posted to this blog.

You may choose which of the three films you have made to create your press package for - these should be emailed to me by December 13th.

Thanks!
